Received an excellent room upgrade free of charge, staff friendly and helpful. Hotel and grounds immaculate and peaceful considering the location.
Evening menu very limited in both the starters and main course, not to our personal taste.
the stay was very relaxing, and the staff very freindly, i will be coming back again soon if the prices stay at the same level.
The rooms are a good size, but in need of modernisation and improvement - cracked tiles in bathroom, small double bed - all looked very cheap. Needs huge investment in the hotel. Gardens were nice.
Food not great, rooms not up to standard, bar too expensive, in serious need ot huge investment - will not be recommending to friends.
The Lady on reception was very helpful when dealing with our complaint on checkout and showed great customer service skills.
The air conditioner in our room started making intermittent loud noises throughout the night from about 1 am onwards. The room was too warm reading 24 deg even when the AC was on at 19 deg. Could not sleep with noise and heat,
Has meal in restaurant and the food was excellent, the staff at the hotel were very friendly and I will recommend this hotel to my friends who want a hotel in Roscommon
It was right near the centre of town, very convenient. The staff were lovely, the room was very nice, and it was peaceful.
Lovely setting, good value, good facilities
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Only problem when we went in to the bar to get a drink the bar person seemed to ignore us and everybody else. Even though there was nobody waiting to be served (except myself) it took 11 minutes to get a drink.
We were there for a wedding which was held at the Abbey that made it very easy. Also it was a very eash walking distance to town which was nice to not get back in the car.
Right next door to Roscommon Abbey with views from the dining room. Nice comfortable room, good buffet breakfast, swimming pool is good and is suitable for children.
Was attending a weeding at hotel
Very comfortable and professionally run hotel which caters well for all ages. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and the service is good. We were there for a family wedding and were made very welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is also well placed for the town centre. The leisure centre is good and we had a swim and used the gym.
If I could change 2 things they would be : the bath towels- make them the size you have in the leisure centre the buffet breakfast at the weekend. The scrambled eggs were hard. I now know I could have asked for some poached eggs but it wasn't pointed out at the time.
Arigna Mines, Famine Museum and Gardens, Lough Key Foest Park, Swimming Pool
restaurant food was fab, staff were lovely
our room was a little shabby, bed small and uncomfortable, some nice new bedlinen would make a huge diff. Dont know if all rooms are the same or if it was because we booked through an offer
Family friendly, nice pool, good food.
Bar service not as good as it should be
